Hello, I am Nathan Girling and I am studying a bachelor of graphic design at SAE Perth. Currently I have completed all the design units of my graphic design course and to complete the course I am looking for an internship in the design field.

I am passionate about the work I do and the things I enjoy. I enjoy more than just graphic design. I enjoy books, games, sport, and my friends and it's a combination of all these joys that allow me to stay creative, and staying creative is what allows me to create the work I have done so far and the work I will continue to do. My personal style I design in is quirky and minimal as I often alternate between the two. However I do not limit myself to the styles I enjoy but instead open myself up to design in whichever style I am required to work with.

Graphic design wasn't my first choice though, but I feel that it is my final choice. I started out studying video game design at SAE Perth but I learnt that I wasn't going to complete that course. It was during that time I decided design is where I needed to be. For me, graphic design holds more than creating an image for people to look at. There is always more to it. It is about creating something new or improving upon what is already there. Design offers the chance to change the way people think or show them something new. Majority of my graphic design work at SAE has been in the form of promotional advertising and branding in both print and digital form.
